Pricing

Installation and configuration is priced as one job, not a hardware fee plus a separate setup charge. Each price below covers the first lock at a property — additional locks fitted on the same visit cost less. Don't see your property type? Get in touch and we'll quote directly.

From £349

Prices cover the first lock, fitted and fully configured. Extra locks done on the same visit cost less than the first — the travel, the survey and the account setup are already paid for by then, so you're only paying for the hardware and the fitting. Prices shown do not include VAT (not currently VAT registered). All installs are covered by a 12-month workmanship guarantee — if something we fitted stops working, we come back and fix it, no charge.

What the price includes

One price, one visit, one job done. There's no callout fee, no separate configuration charge, and nothing that appears on the invoice that wasn't in the quote.

  • The lock itself, specified for your door rather than whatever's cheapest — we check the door type, thickness and existing hardware before quoting.
  • Fitting, including making the door good and testing that it locks and unlocks properly on every method.
  • The full software setup — account created in your name, app installed and working, access methods enrolled, and codes or schedules configured the way you actually intend to use them.
  • A walkthrough at handover so you can add and remove access yourself afterwards without calling us.
  • A 12-month workmanship guarantee. If something we fitted stops working, we come back and fix it at no charge.

More than one lock

The prices above are for the first lock at a property. They are not charged per lock.

A good chunk of any first installation is the things you only do once: travelling to you, surveying the doors, creating and configuring the account, and walking you through it. Once that's done, every additional lock fitted on the same visit only carries the hardware and the fitting time — so it costs meaningfully less than the first.

That difference grows with the job. Seven locks in one building is nothing like seven times the price of one, which is exactly why multi-door properties, HMOs and portfolios are worth quoting properly rather than estimating from this page. Have a look at the seven-lock case study for what a job like that actually involves.

What can change the price

We quote before we start, and the quote is what you pay. These are the things we're assessing when we work it out:

  • The door. A uPVC or composite door with a multipoint mechanism is a different job from a timber door with a single cylinder. Door thickness and the existing hardware decide which locks are even suitable.
  • Which lock you want. Fingerprint and card readers cost more than a keypad-only unit. We'll tell you where the extra spend earns its keep and where it doesn't.
  • Whether you need a gateway. Remote unlocking and battery monitoring need one; codes and fingerprints don't. On larger buildings you may need more than one for coverage.
  • How many doors, and where. Doors spread across floors or buildings take longer than doors on one corridor.
  • Integration work. Connecting access to a booking platform or your own system is quoted separately — see bespoke access software.

What isn't included

Worth being straight about, so nothing is a surprise on the day:

  • Doors that need repairing, rehanging or replacing before a lock can be fitted properly. We'll tell you if we see it at survey rather than fitting to a door that won't hold.
  • Electrical work, or anything requiring a mains supply at the door. The locks we fit are battery-powered, so this is rare.
  • Ongoing subscriptions. There aren't any for a standard installation — the account is yours and the locks keep working whether or not you ever speak to us again.

Questions

Frequently asked

Per property, for the first lock. Additional locks fitted on the same visit cost less than the first, because the travel, survey, account setup and handover are already covered. Tell us how many doors and we'll give you a single figure for the whole job.

No. Quotes are free and there's no charge for coming out to look at the job. You pay the agreed price on completion.

Usually yes, and the price drops accordingly since you're only paying for fitting and setup. We'll check it suits your door first — and if it doesn't, we'd rather say so than fit something that will give you trouble. Locks we didn't supply are covered by our workmanship guarantee but not by any hardware warranty.

Not at the moment — we're not currently VAT registered, so the price you're quoted is the price you pay. If that changes it will be stated clearly on every quote before you commit.

Private customers pay on completion. Businesses, public sector bodies and larger organisations can be invoiced against a purchase order on standard terms — see government and public sector.
